Job Description
Create menus that appeal to customers and meet the restaurant's financial goals
Select ingredients and design menus that cater to different tastes and dietary requirements
Develop new recipes by experimenting with ingredients
Cooking
Prepare high-quality dishes that are flavorful and appetizing
Cook specialty dishes
Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes
Managing staff
Delegate tasks to kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner
Train and mentor kitchen staff on procedures, policies, and safe equipment use
Assign and enforce operational goals for kitchen staff
