Midwife

Ole Overview:

The Midwife is responsible for providing comprehensive maternal and newborn care in accordance with established medical standards and practices. This role includes assisting with childbirth, managing labor, and providing prenatal and postnatal care to ensure the well-being of both mother and baby.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Patient Care

Provide direct care to expectant mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including monitoring maternal and fetal well-being.
Assist in the management of normal and complicated pregnancies and deliveries.
Conduct routine prenatal and postnatal examinations, including assessments and documentation.
Educate and support patients on prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, including breastfeeding, newborn care, and family planning.
Clinical Procedures

Perform routine midwifery procedures and interventions within the scope of practice.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
Safety and Compliance

Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Professional Development

Update professional knowledge through continuing education and active participation in professional organizations.
Engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in midwifery practices.
Additional Responsibilities

Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by superiors and management.
May be assigned onsite or to different locations as needed to support patient care and organizational needs.
Qualifications:

Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (or equivalent).
Registered Midwife with a valid PRC license.
In-depth knowledge of maternal and newborn care protocols and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team..
