Job Description
The Project In Charge is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects in a waterproofing (or related) industry. This role is primarily office-based but requires regular field visits to monitor ongoing projects. The ideal candidate is computer literate, proficient in AutoCAD, and possesses strong organizational and communication skills to ensure projects meet quality, safety, and timeline requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
Oversee day-to-day project operations and ensure adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
Coordinate with various teams and departments to streamline project execution.
Field Oversight: Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and verify that work meets established standards.
Communicate field observations and necessary adjustments to the office team.
Technical Documentation: Utilize AutoCAD to review, prepare, and update technical drawings and project plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress reports and billing records.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Attend client meetings to discuss project specifications, progress updates, and address any concerns. Serve as the main point of contact between clients, suppliers, and the project team.
Administrative and Financial Duties:
Manage project-related billing, expense tracking, and ensure timely invoicing.
Assist in preparing project schedules, budgets, and other administrative documentation.
Quality and Compliance:
Ensure all projects comply with company standards, safety protocols, and industry regulations.
Address on-site issues proactively and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in project management or project supervision, preferably within the waterproofing, construction, or related industries.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for reviewing and preparing technical drawings.
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Project).
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively in both office and field environments.
Additional Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with project billing, budgeting, and financial reporting is an advantage.
