Job Description
JOB Descriptions:
• Scheduling appointments for carriers from emails
• Working from excel spreadsheets for appointments for Logistics and Carriers.
• Scheduling standing appointments for carriers
• Scheduling freight in the warehouse in the right Zones as cooler, freezer & dry
• Maintaining a cap level for the warehouse to fit operational needs.
• Moving freight to other days that are acceptable for Sysco to receive.
• Sometimes emailing carriers of their ETA
• Fast paced and to be able to make decisions on your own.
• Sending updates of pallets counts and schedules for the warehouse.
• Dealing with buyers and other associates from Sysco.
• Problem solving, Typing and computer skills.
• Knowledge of scheduling and inbound scheduling freight
• Communication skills and being polite in emails.
• Communicating with Warehouse Supervisors by email if a carrier is late.
• Communicating by email to Sysco buyers and warehouse if a carrier rebooks an appointment.
• Sending a schedule to all appropriate Sysco associates at the end of the day.
• Helping other team members if needed.
• Multitasking
• Responding to emails in a timely manner
