Job Description

An accounting assistant's job is to track, record, and analyze financial transactions, and to prepare financial reports. They also perform administrative duties related to finances and payment processing.
Responsibilities
Financial record keeping: Maintain financial records, update ledgers, and process invoices
Accounts payable and receivable: Process payments, invoices, and receivables
Bank reconciliation: Compare a company's bank statements to its records to ensure balances match
Financial reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports
Assisting in audits: Help with audits and fact-checking
Customer and vendor communication: Follow up on money owed, answer questions about bills, and ensure payments are made on time
File invoices and statements: File paperwork and scan documents
Skills Accuracy, Thoroughness, Honesty, and Good bookkeeping skills.
