Job Description
The Deputy General Manager ensures the smooth running of operations by implementing processes, aligning resources, and managing risks to support the company’s vision, mission, and goals. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Deputy General Manager plays a key role in driving growth and meeting targets.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the application of company procedures and best practices.
• Ensure operations align with the company’s goals and strategies.
• Set up and monitor standards, resources, and staff skills.
• Manage resources to meet quality and performance goals.
• Ensure staff meet deadlines and quality targets.
• Take corrective actions when necessary.
• Oversee annual and medium-term operational and technical plans.
• Identify and manage risks in projects.
• Work with the General Manager to review project fee proposals.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience in leading and implementing company-wide procedures.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Knowledge of resource management, including standards and skills assessment.
• Proven ability to plan and monitor projects.
• Analytical skills for handling risks and improving performance.
• Experience in reviewing project proposals.
• Excellent communication skills for team collaboration and reporting.
• Background in business processes and systems improvement.
• Educational qualifications in management, business, or related fields.
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction or VDC industry.
