Job Description
Specific Responsibilities
•Warehousing and Logistics Management:
o Manage the relationship with 3PL partners for receiving, fulfillment, outbound shipments, and warehousing inventory
o Manage 3PL for on-time delivery and vocalize potential delays
o Coordinate and oversee the logistics and fulfillment processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products
o Manage and maintain relationships with logistics providers and freight forwarders, particularly those operating in Canada and other Asian regions
o Monitor and track shipments to ensure that products are delivered on time and in good condition
o Address and resolve any issues related to logistics, including delays, damages, or discrepancies
•Vendor and B2B Partner Management:
o Support vendor management activities, including negotiation of rates and terms with suppliers and freight forwarders
o Maintain and continue developing relationships with B2B partners
o Execute B2B orders following vendor guidelines
o Maintain and enhance relationships with existing vendors to ensure smooth operations and optimal performance
o Evaluate and onboard new vendors as needed to support business growth
•Procurement and Inventory Management:
o Oversee inventory planning and management, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained
o Collaborate with the CFO and operations team to forecast inventory needs based on sales projections and demand planning
o Manage the transition of inventory from suppliers to fulfillment centers and ensure accurate stock levels are maintained in the system
•Coordination and Communication:
o Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics-related issues and provide regular updates to the operations team
o Collaborate with internal teams to align logistics strategies with overall business objectives
oPrepare and present reports on logistics and warehouse performance, including key metrics and areas for improvement
•Qualifications
1.Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Industrial/Management Engineering, or related field.
2.Strong background in procurement, warehousing, demand planning and logistics
•Competencies
o 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong focus on demand planning, warehousing, logistics and vendor management
o Experience working with international vendors and knowledge in importation and deep understanding of their logistics operations
o Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing warehousing, logistics and supply chain contracts
o Proficiency with relevant supply chain and logistics management tools
o Excellent organizational and communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
