Job Description
Financial and Accounting Operations:
Supervise day-to-day accounting processes across three companies.
Full management of financial reporting processes for local authorities: monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Conduct daily and weekly audits to ensure accurate accounting records.
Ensure full compliance with deadlines set by local regulations and submit financial statements and internal reports on time.
Payments and Collections Management:
Monitor and manage payments to suppliers and employees, including invoice approvals and entries.
Supervise the customer collection process, including open receivables tracking and generating status reports.
Financial Reporting and Administrative Support:
Prepare monthly reports based on accounting data and cash flow statement
Assist with internal and external audits by providing required accounting information.
Manage tracking of financial documents, contracts, and payroll data
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow across three companies and manage balances
Perform short-term cash flow forecasting and report to management as needed
Identify and resolve cash shortages in real time.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and file tax reports, including VAT, BIR, and any additional filings required under Philippine law.
Prepare tax returns and verify tax withholdings from employee and supplier payments.
Collaborate with local auditors and regulatory bodies as necessary.
Administrative Support for Finance and Management Teams:
Coordinate office logistics and operations, including tracking payments and office expenses.
Maintain records and provide regular financial and operational status reports to management.
Technology Systems:
Manage and operate QuickBooks for preparing financial reports, cash flow, budgets, and day-to-day accounting.
Extensively use Excel for data analysis, financial reporting, and budget monitoring
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial company within the tourism industry, managing financial or administrative operations
Basic accounting knowledge (proficiency in journal entries is mandatory)
Proficiency in ERP systems or QuickBooks accounting software is an advantage
Strong understanding and background of local tax laws and regulations in the Philippines is required.
High-level English proficiency is mandatory; additional languages are an advantage
Strong organizational and managerial skills, including multitasking capabilities.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
