Motor and Transformer Rewinder

To clean, prepare, and rewind electric motors and transformers. They also perform electrical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities: Inspect and dismantle various types of electric motors to identify the cause of failure. Perform rewinding of armatures, stators, and field coils using various types of wire and insulation materials.
Responsibilities
Prepare equipment: Strip winding coils and insulation materials, and replace or repair mechanical parts
Test windings: Use a clearance gauge, growler, and other tools to test the windings
Wind new coils: Use pliers and wire scrapers to cut, strip, and bend wire leads
Rewind motors: Replace failed or worn-out stator windings to ensure the motor performs efficiently
Rewind transformers: Rewind dry type and water-cooled industrial transformers, and related electrical components
Perform electrical troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical issues
Perform preventative maintenance: Perform routine maintenance to ensure the equipment is running properly
