Job Description

The Procurement Manager in the food industry oversees the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, ingredients, and supplies essential for food production, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance with regulations. The role involves building strong supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory to support operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop Strategies: Design and implement procurement plans aligned with business goals.
- Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for quality and cost efficiency.
- Cost Control: Monitor procurement budgets and identify savings opportunities.
- Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with inventory teams to optimize stock levels and implement just-in-time (JIT) strategies.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and legal regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports on costs, savings, and supplier performance.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of procurement professionals.
- Technology Integration: Use procurement tools to streamline operations and improve data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications:
_ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager at least 4 years, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of sourcing, procurement techniques, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with procurement laws and regulations is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented with a results-driven approach.
