Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the operations of the Accounting Department.
Directs and coordinates the accounting staff's daily activities to record the company's revenue, expenditures, assets, and liabilities quickly and accurately. The Accounting Manager is well versed in tax law and has considerable years of experience dealing with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) to ensure the company’s compliance.
III. STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
2. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
3. Direct, supervise, and review the work of the accounting staff, including cash reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable/payable transactions, debt
activity, and recording of revenue and expenses.
4. Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development and performance.
5. Review the general ledger monthly to ensure the accuracy of postings in the accounting system.
6. Manage the internal accounting system and lead its integration in the regional HQ.
7. Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts to ensure financial stability.
8. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
9. Coordinate and manage external audits and tax compliance activities.
10. Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
11. Collaborate with other departments to support overall business goals and objectives.
12. Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
13. Produce quarterly and annual financial statements and ad hoc financial reports.
14. Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements and present them to the management
15. Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, reports, calculations, and other schedules needed for in-house and external reporting.
16. Complete annual audits and provide recommendations.
17. Implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures.
18. Coordinate with the BIR and tax/legal consultants regarding tax refund matters and other related issues.
19. Resolve complex accounting and financial issues.
20. Facilitate cash management.
21. Maintain organized records and files to document financial transactions.
22. Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 - 17:00

a. Education
a. Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
b. Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with an active license
b. Experience
a. At least 15 years of experience in Accounting with 10 years of which in a managerial role
c. Skills
a. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and tax laws, has considerable years of experience dealing with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
b. Proficient with MS Office Applications especially MS Excel
c. Experience with accounting system
d. Excellent communication and people skills
e. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
f. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
g. High level of integrity and attention to detail.

• 105 days: normal delivery or miscarriage
• 60 days: miscarriage or emergency termination of pregnancy
• +15 days: qualified solo parents (R.A. No. 8972)

• 7 working days with full pay for the first 4 deliveries
