Job Description
The kitchen staff plays a crucial role in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly, maintaining cleanliness, preparing food, and assisting chefs in creating a high-quality dining experience for customers. This position requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients as directed.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and hygienic workspace.
Wash, clean, and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Stock and organize kitchen inventory, ensuring ingredients are fresh and readily available.
Help chefs and cooks with basic cooking tasks during meal preparation.
Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and storage.
Dispose of trash and recyclables appropriately and assist with overall kitchen organization.
Monitor kitchen supplies and inform the manager when items need replenishment.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations as per restaurant and local standards.
Assist with opening and closing duties, such as setting up stations and cleaning work areas.
