Operator - Water and Wastewater Treatment

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining water and wastewater treatment systems to ensure safe and compliant operations. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and adherence to environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor water and wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, meters, and control systems.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of treatment facilities to ensure optimal performance.
Test water and wastewater samples to analyze chemical, physical, and biological properties.
Adjust treatment processes based on test results to maintain compliance with regulations.
Record operational data, including meter readings, test results, and maintenance activities.
Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues, recommending corrective actions as needed.
Adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards, including proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.
Assist in the preparation of reports for regulatory compliance and management.
Conduct regular cleaning and upkeep of equipment and facilities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in water/wastewater treatment is an advantage.
Valid license or certification in water and/or wastewater treatment operations (if required in your region).
Experience in water and wastewater treatment operations is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of treatment processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
Ability to interpret technical documents, operational manuals, and safety guidelines.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical ability to perform manual labor, work in various environmental conditions, and lifting.
