Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our healthcare team at TMDPH Inc. The Medical Records Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate and organized patient medical records, ensuring compliance with medical record regulations, and facilitating efficient healthcare operations. If you have strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of medical record management, and a commitment to data accuracy, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain electronic patient medical records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality.
Review and process incoming medical records, including patient histories, test results, consultation notes, and treatment plans.
Index and code medical records according to established protocols, making them easily accessible for healthcare providers and administrative staff.
Ensure compliance with medical record regulations, privacy laws, and data security guidelines, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
Retrieve and prepare medical records for patient appointments, referrals, and audits, ensuring timely availability of information.
Collaborate with medical staff, billing teams, and administrative personnel to facilitate smooth medical record management processes.
Assist in the release of medical records to authorized individuals, institutions, and legal entities while adhering to proper procedures.
Maintain electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate data entry and record updates.
Contribute to improving medical record management processes and enhancing data accuracy.

Qualifications:
BS degree in Pharmacy or graduate of any Health allied course, healthcare administration, or related fields is preferred.
Familiarity with using electronic health record (EHR) systems, medical office software, and office applications.
Strong understanding of medical record regulations, data privacy laws, and confidentiality standards.
Excellent organizational skills to manage medical records efficiently and maintain data integrity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interactions with medical staff and administrative teams.

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year(s ) of experience in medical record management, medical office administration, or a related role. (preferred but not mandatory)
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Familiarity with medical coding systems (ICD-10, CPT) is advantageous.
