The team includes Medical Scribes, Insurance Verification Specialists, Medical Coders, Kustomers, Billers, Referrals, Medical Records personnel, Order Fulfillment Specialists, and Behavioral Health Coordinators, all working together to provide comprehensive and high-quality support and solutions. The PH team is an amazing group of dynamic and agile team members located in the very heart of Iloilo City. Started with a handful of hardworking and dedicated freelance team members working from home way back in 2018; the team, who were graduates of Allied Medical courses, initially supported Medical Coding, Insurance Verifications and Referrals. From then on, more and more departments were created to support the growth of TPC and the US operations. With its office nestled within the center of Mandurriao, Iloilo City, one of the 4 main districts of the city; it is strategically located for all its team members as well as potential new hires given its proximity to top universities and colleges. Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with healthcare professionals, including MDs, DOs, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, licensed social workers, medical assistants, and other clinical staff, to capture and document patient encounters in real-time.
Accurately transcribe medical histories, physical examination findings, diagnostic tests, treatment plans, and other pertinent medical information.
Enter information into the electronic health record system promptly and with precision, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and data security.
Assist in organizing and managing medical charts, ensuring they are prepared, or “pre-charted”, and readily accessible for healthcare providers.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to affix appropriate blood work requests, therapeutic injections and doses, detailed procedures, and other necessary documentation.
Participate in training sessions to continually enhance medical knowledge and scribing skills.
Ensure compliance with privacy laws, and data security guidelines, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and Physical Therapy.
Board or Non-Board passers are welcome to apply.
Strong interest in the medical field and a desire to learn and grow within a healthcare setting.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to capture information accurately in real-time.
Aware of the charting process, particularly the SOAP method.
Knowledgeable on anatomy and physiology
Basic understanding of medical procedures, diagnoses, and treatments.
Proficient typing skills and familiarity with medical terminology.
Strong English communication skills ( oral and written) and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Medical Scribe or in a related healthcare role.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
