The Cash Receipts Analyst is a vital member of the Network Finance Operations team and is responsible for managing and optimizing the company's accounts receivable processes for multiple agencies. This role involves tracking, analyzing, and reconciling customer accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of incoming payments, and keeping up in a fast-paced, shifting environment.
What you’ll be doing:
Cash Application:
Post and allocate incoming payments to client accounts in the accounting system.
Ensure payments are applied in a timely manner to maintain accurate accounts receivable balances.
Client Payment Reconciliation:
Investigate and assist in resolving discrepancies or issues related to payment processing.
Disbursements:
Issue Disbursements to Clients for Overpayments and Duplicate Payments
Customer Communication:
Interact with Account Managers to address payment inquiries and provide necessary documentation.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts receivable processes.
Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline workflows
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards in accounts receivable practices.
Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations as needed.
Project Support:
Assist with Projects as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
Prior experience (typically 2-4 years) in accounts receivable, finance, or related roles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and external customers.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of accounting principles, revenue recognition, and financial processes.
Proficiency in financial software , MS Excel , Word, Power Point, Outlook and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
