IT Business Analyst, be 100% YOU with MicroSourcing!

The IT Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for providing business analysis capabilities for a large-scale, transformational, organizational-wide programme to support the planned upgrade of MicroSourcing’s in-house custom-built ERP-MicroStatus and having it integrated with selected applications such as FreshService and HubSpot, among others . This role focuses on business requirements gathering and interpretation, data analysis, post-development documentation, cleansing and alignment, along with supporting complex IT integrations.

The IT BA will be responsible for discovering, collating, and carrying out detailed analysis of information from a variety of business sources. They will have the capability to capture processes and technology end-to-end, having exceptional documentation skills, and the ability to engage a cross-section of stakeholders internal and external. The IT BA will be responsible for eliciting in detail the actual needs and requirements of stakeholders, and ensure these requirements are appropriately provided for in the final design and delivery of the solution(s). The IT BA will also be responsible for creating post-development documents (e.g. User Manuals, Data Dictionaries) in collaboration with development teams.

The IT BA’s primary responsibility will be analyzing/documenting the business requirements of all stakeholders and reflecting it in an accurate Business Requirement Document (BRD). The BA will collaborate with developer teams who will utilize the BRD prior to undertaking actual development work. Upon completion of BRDs which are to be reviewed and approved by stakeholders, the BA will continue to work with stakeholders and developers to ensure the requirements are up-to-date and any changes necessary are accurately delivered including post-development documentation and support.

Responsibilities:
Design and documentation of solutions, including the collation of development time frames and Business Requirement Specifications (BRS).
Assist in the delivery of the ERP solution working in close collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders. With a focus on data, integrations, business requirement documentation and post-development documentation and support.
Elicit detailed requirements from stakeholders (internal or external) using a collaborative and hands-on approach.
Facilitation of workshops, meetings and interviews with key stakeholders, to gather all the required information.
Carry out detailed end-to-end process analysis and the ability to provide recommendations via gap analysis.
Validation of business rules and requirements through analysis of a change and its impact on the business.
Deliver customer centric outcomes to deliver an exceptional leader and employee experience
Be an agent for change and ensure appropriate change management activities are undertaken to minimize impact to business operations.
Proactively seek and suggest improvements and enhancements to systems, business processes which promote operational and financial benefits.
Development of end-to-end test plans. Including working with designated business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture and document User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases where required.
Ensuring specialised project management methodologies, tools and templates are applied where appropriate.
Identify and analyse change requests against the original scope.

Complete all necessary training requirements and professional development opportunities.
Follow prescribed SDLC & DevOps processes as well as comply with security best practices & policies.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role critical
Previous experience working on complex migration projects, including requirements, design, build, test, change and go-live support critical, with a focus on integrations and data.
Experience in Web development, Microservices, Relational databases and SQL scripting is a plus
Working experience of project planning tools e.g. JIRA or GitLab
Working knowledge of diagramming tools (e.g. Lucid chart, Visio)
Experience working with vendors/implementation partners
Experience working in outsourcing or a BPO sector highly regarded
Business Analyst qualifications will be highly regarded
Relevant tertiary qualifications in management or business discipline highly regarded
Knowledge of ERP systems, Hubspot, FreshService and business processes would be advantageous
