A mechanical foreman uses a range of skills on the job. They are proficient in advanced diagnostics and repair of diesel systems, emissions control systems, and engine management systems. They also have experience in general construction, welding, and metal fabrication. Other important skills include knowledge of electricity and electronics, as well as the ability to manage budgets and supervise other workers.
