Senior Manual QA l Some Automation l SQL Scripting l API Testing

Responsibilities:
· Understand and comply with the defined and agreed Software Development Life Cycle and CMMI standards of the organization.

· Understand various approaches used in testing.

· Apply appropriate test design techniques in writing Test Cases.

· Create test effort estimation based on the provided requirements for small to large-sized projects.

· Develop effective test strategies and plans, including creating a Master Test Plan.

· Review Test Cases and Test Scripts written by team members and make recommendations as necessary.

· Write Test Cases and Test Scripts, create Test Data, and develop a Requirement Traceability Matrix.

· Execute the given test cases/scripts properly, identify the correct behavior of the system under test, replicate, and report uncovered defects.

· Test and certify software defect fixes and new functionality, and execute functional, application, and regression tests for software releases.

· Write clear and precise defect reports as required for identified software defects and functional defects based on testing results.

· Write and submit Test Summary Reports and/or Test Acceptance Certificates.

· Facilitate the peer review of the RTM, Test Cases, and Test Summary Reports and/or Acceptance Test Certificates.

· Review and analyze test results and make recommendations.

· Enforce quality procedures and guidelines across the Software Development Life Cycle.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA procedures and guidelines.

· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, break down high-level information into details, abstract low-level information to a general understanding, and classify user requests between must-have and not.

· Deliver Functional Requirements and Use Cases by proactively communicating and collaborating with customers to analyze information needs and business requirements.

· Ensure customer satisfaction by providing clear testing specifications and quality products according to specified requirements.

· Collaborate with Automation Quality Analysts to initiate automation testing for the project if possible.

· Exhibit confidence in understanding business concerns and provide sound business suggestions and recommendations accordingly.

· Record activities in ATLAS and report/elevate issues to superiors when needed.

· Conduct audits to ensure compliance with CMMI procedures, Prepare and submit necessary reports.

· Lead testing activities and handle and resolve minor risks and issues.

· Mentor and guide Manual Quality Analysts I and II.

· Coordinate closely with other team members of the applications development and support teams.

· Expand knowledge on business processes and IT-related information.

· Stay abreast of current technology and system information.

Qualifications:
● Graduate of Bachelor’s or College degree in either of the following - Industrial

Engineering, Management Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering,

Information Technology and/or related field.

● Minimum of five (5) years working experience in Quality Assurance and/or testing.

● Hands-on work experience and very good proficiency in: SQL Scripting, API Testing and Automation Testing (at least 6 months) – Required,

● Must have extensive proficiency and experience in writing test cases and scripts, creating Master Test Plans, Test Design Techniques, and understanding QA Methodologies and SDLC (Waterfall and Agile).

● With extensive knowledge of QA testing tools, different test approaches, standards

and process

● Exposure in business operations related to manufacturing, distribution and

financial operations will be an advantage

● Experience in various system development environment

● Experience in leading a QA team in small to medium sized projects.

● ISTQB Testing Certification is a plus but not required.
