Junior Accounting Manager

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
* Supervise and lead the accounting team to ensure that they carry out their duties efficiently and effectively, and provide support and guidance as required.
* Ensure that financial records and transactions are prepared in accordance with the accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Manage the budgeting and forecasting process to provide accurate and timely financial information to the management team.
* Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the management team, analyzing key financial metrics and trends to support decision-making.
* Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
* Manage cashflows and liquidity to ensure the company has adequate funds to meet its financial obligations.
* Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures t ensure efficient and effective financial operations.
* Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, implement solutions, and measure their impact.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management or retail environment
CPA qualification is preferred.
* Knowledgeable in P&L, financial analysis, financial ratio.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards and regulatory requirements
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrated leadership and management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and Accounting software applications
