This is a new requirement; Reporting to the General Manager, no staff to handle

The Accounting Manager will handle the overall management of the accounting and finance department. He/She will handle and review financial statements and cash flow and prepare reports for upper management. He/She will be responsible for the collecting, validation, and recording of accounting transactions and preparation of tax reportorial requirements of the company. He/She shall monitor that existing accounting policies and procedures are practiced and complied with and may also develop and implement accounting policies and procedures. She is expected to perform multiple accounting and finance functions that include record keeping, filing of government accountable forms and accounting documents, and handling preparation of tax schedules, report preparation, and filing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
• month and end-year process | accounts payable/receivable | cash receipts | general ledger | payroll and utilities | treasury, budgeting | cash forecasting | revenue and expenditure variance analysis | capital assets reconciliations | trust account statement reconciliations | check runs | fixed asset activity | debt activity
• Check the day-to-day entries encoded in the accounting books (accounting software/excel file) together with the schedules.
• Check and ensure timeliness of filling/submission of reportorial requirements to BIR.
• Check the monthly Account Package and Cash Flow Forecast.
• Provide management, business, and tax consultancy.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Provide recommendations. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
• Meet financial accounting objectives. Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager
• Must be a licensed CPA.
With at least 5-7 years of experience in the related field.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software (QuickBooks) and databases.
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong Mathematical and analytical skills
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance
