Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assisting the Head Cook in managing the kitchen, through standard and quality of the food to cleanliness of the kitchen
- Must be a good expeditor, ensure the smooth and finely flow of orders from waiters to the kitchen
- Monitoring the food portion on completed dishes according to restaurant standards
- Ensuring that all orders are completed in time and with the correct priority
- Check dishes for accuracy and presentation, assist in final dish preparation. Maintain fast service and uphold quality and sanitation standard
- Collecting and assisting the cooks in daily, weekly & monthly inventory
- Handling customer complaints on behalf of the kitchen staff and looking for solutions
- Managing for keeping the cooking, storage and prep areas clean, neat, and well-stocked


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Completion of a Culinary Associate degree, at least a High School Vocational graduate
- At least three (3) years of cooking experience
- Excellent kitchen administration knowledge and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong organization and active listening skills
- Aptitude for multi-tasking
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
- TESDA NC2 Holder
- Basic Food Safety/ HACCP Certification
- Excellent food preparation and cooking skills
- Highly knowledgeable with the safe and proper methods of operating different kitchen appliances and utensils
- Must have the stamina to work long hours in a fast-paced kitchen
