Job Description

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes.
• Cook food items using various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, sautéing, or baking.
• Cook and season food according to specifications and quality standards.
• Ensure that food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and doneness level.
• Monitor cooking times and adjust temperatures as needed to maintain quality and consistency.
• Organize and maintain a clean and efficient workstation.
• Manage inventory levels of ingredients and notify the kitchen head or head chef of any shortages.
• Keep track of food supplies and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Properly label and store prepared food items to minimize waste and facilitate easy retrieval.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness, quality, and adherence to standards.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
• Conduct visual and taste tests to ensure that food meets quality standards before serving.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and sanitation guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff to coordinate timing and execution of orders.
• Assist colleagues during busy periods and work together to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow instructions from the chef or kitchen head and provide feedback on food quality and kitchen processes.
