Job Description
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop procurement strategies. Procure mechanical/civil engineering materials, components, equipment, and systems in accordance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Prepare and issue requests for quotation (RFQs) or requests for proposal (RFPs) to potential suppliers/vendors. Review and analyze proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and select the most suitable suppliers/vendors based on factors such as price, quality, reliability, and delivery lead times.
Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, purchase orders, and other legal documents in collaboration with legal and procurement teams. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct cost analysis and budgeting for mechanical/civil engineering procurement activities. Monitor and control procurement expenses to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards and meeting project objectives.
Collaborate with inventory management teams to maintain adequate levels of mechanical/civil engineering materials and equipment. Monitor inventory levels, track procurement activities, and identify opportunities for inventory optimization and cost savings.
