Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Model Development: Design and develop decision support system models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
2. Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform model development and improve decision-making processes.
3. Model Implementation: Implement DSS models into production systems, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
4. Model Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of DSS models using appropriate metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and IT professionals, to gather requirements and integrate DSS models into existing workflows.
6. Documentation: Document model development processes, methodologies, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
7. Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on how to interpret and utilize DSS models effectively.
8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and decision support systems, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance existing models.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing decision support system models
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, along with experience using relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong understanding of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets and databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable insights.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies is a plus.
