Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management:

- Develop and implement data management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security.
- Design and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data lakes to store structured and unstructured data effectively.
- Establish data governance frameworks to regulate data access, usage, and quality across the organization.
- Implement data cleansing, transformation, and normalization techniques to enhance data quality and consistency.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for measuring business performance.
- Conduct data analysis using statistical tools, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques to extract meaningful insights.
- Generate regular reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights and trends to decision-makers.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to address specific business questions and challenges.

System Integration and Optimization:

- Integrate disparate data sources and systems to create a unified view of organizational data.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure compatibility, scalability, and performance of data management systems.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization to streamline data workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in data management, analytics, and decision support systems.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, analytics, finance, operations, and marketing to understand data requirements and priorities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on data-related matters and provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making by promoting awareness and understanding of data analytics tools and techniques.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data management, database administration, or business intelligence roles.
- Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for data manipulation and analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certification in data management, database administration, or business analytics (e.g., CDMP, CBIP, MCSE).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or CCPA.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools
