Job Description
• Sourcing of potential suppliers and vendors.
• Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure the best deals and terms.
• Ensuring the timeliness and effectiveness of goods and services are met.
• Develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met.
• Communicating with departments to ensure needs are met
• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with new and existing vendors and suppliers.
• Finalizing purchase details and approving purchase requests and orders
• Monitoring industry trends and developments
• Controlling the procurement budget and promoting of a long-term saving on procurement costs.
• Overseeing and managing the shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
• Supervising a procurement team and delegating tasks to subordinates.
• Preparing procurement reports.
