Dempsey Resources Management Inc is HIRING!

FARM MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TASKS/KPIs
1. PRODUCTION

1.1. Ensures that the facilities,
equipment, and buildings assigned are in
good running condition

 Routinely inspects facilities and buildings for
serviceability as ensures that equipment is in a
good-running condition.
 Reports repair requirements to the Division Head
and prepares Job Orders for approval of the
Division Head.
 Monitor accomplishment of repairs and reports to
Division Head any delays or issues.
 Checks the integrity of building facilities to ensure
the safety of equipment, stocks, personnel and
other assets assigned to him.
 Create cleaning schedule of buildings and ensure
cleaning and disinfection was done properly.

1.2. Achieves the target production
quality and quantity output in his section.  Conducts and preside weekly meeting with the
Supervisors and staff for the scheduled activities
and designate tasks for each to accomplish.
 Plans and strategize the transfer and culling
activities of the farm.
 Guarantees the quality work and production of all
employees.
 Strictly monitors the production process, activities
and health of each livestock by conducting
dissection, necropsy and disease intervention.
 Prevent mortality and losses by preparing and
arranging procedures and protocols.
 Ensure and counterchecks the proper

documentation and reports are given on time.
 Schedule farm vehicle daily activity and personnel
daily activities based on priorities and monitor
compliance on scheduled work.
 Coordinates with the supervisors regarding the
requested cleaning activities and schedules.
 Issues corrective action report for any incidence of
non-conformance to SOPs and coordinates with HR
and Division Head in case of recurrence.
 Educate the farm personnel on the Biosecurity
Protocols in place.
 100 % Compliance on the House Cleaning
Procedures (In Preparation for the newly
transferred sows, gilts and boars)
 Ensure the 100% compliance of vaccination
program and handlings.
 Compliance on the space requirement per hog
based on age and actual observations.
 Weekly monitoring of the hog’s health through
necropsy and mortality data analysis.
 Isolation of morbid hogs for special attention thru
medication and extra feeding.
 Achieve the desired kilograms per hogs based on
the actual needed by the livestock. Assess the feed
clean up.
 Feeding Compliance to achieve and maintain
desired bodyweight for the hogs.
 To lower the cost to produce better than the
industry standard thru improvement of
production efficiency and prudent purchasing
practices.
 To have the leanest and most efficient work force in
the industry that is feels well compensated,
valued, and motivated.
 To have a production team that is knowledgeable in
good management practices that implements
learnings in day to day operations.
 To ensure that there is always a successor ready
and able to take on higher position when vacancy
is created.

1.3. Supervises, monitors compliance,

directs, and disseminates information or
directives regarding health assurance
and biosecurity protocols for activities in
his section.

 Maximization and Relocation of Biosecurity
Facilities.
 Supervise and oversee the performance of the
activities under his section to ensure compliance to
the Technical Manual.
 Monitors and reports on the production
performance metrics of the sections under his
supervision.
 Ensures accuracy and timely submission of farm
records.
 Immediately reports to the Division Head any
concerns that may affect production output and
quality.
 Implement biosecurity protocol.
 Implements the egg hauling protocol for rainy
season.
 To ensure business continuity by safeguarding of
people, animals, physical assets, and intellectual
properties against all type of threats
 Standardization of all processes that all will follow.
 To have facilities that are well maintained, clean,
safe, and scenic with vegetable gardens, flowers
and trees that can be enjoyed by everyone who
works at the farm.

1.4. Monitors stock levels, plan and
process materials and stocks requisition.

 Ensure safety of his people at work.
 Provision of fresh and clean water for the birds.
 Performs related duties, which may be assigned from
time to time.

2. ADMINISTRATIVE WORK

2.1. Perform required administrative,
training and management functions

 Manage staffing schedule with HR Web, approves leave
of absence, monitor and control overtime.
 Appraise performance of direct reports on a quarterly
basis and submit it to HR every 15th after the end of
each quarter
 Document coaching sessions with direct reports and
build performance management plan of each direct
report and submit every 6 months to Division Head
furnished with HRD
 Personally, and timely serve Personnel Action Notices,
NTEs and DAs to direct reports

2.2. Ensures that the farm is compliant
with environmental laws, health and
safety laws, and local ordinances and
issuances

 Ensures that personnel under his supervision comply
with health and safety standards set by Management
 Issues corrective action report against personnel for
violations to environment, health and safety standards
and reports repeat offenders to the Farm Manager and
HR
 Warrants that grounds are neat, clean, odor free and
orderly at all times.

 Take shower before going to the production area.

procedures.

5. TECHNICAL SKILLS
EDUCATION
With a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Sciences, or
other related courses

EXPERIENCE
With 2-3 years of experience in Swine Farm Management.

ADMINISTRATIVE AND COMMUNICATION
 Knowledgeable in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, Power
Point, etc.)
 Well-informed in Asana, HR Web, and NAV and
communication applications such as Viber.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
Knowledge of business and management principles involved
in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources
modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and
coordination of people and resources.

SAFETY AND SECURITY
Awareness of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and
strategies to promote effective local, state, or national
security operations for the protection of employees, data,
property, and institutions.

BIOSECURITY
Understanding of uses of chemicals and their interactions,
and disposal methods.
