Job Description

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall financial operations of the dealership, including general accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This role ensures the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, effective cash flow management, inventory costing (vehicles, spare parts, and accessories), and adherence to company, dealership, and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Monitor vehicle, parts, and service inventory accounting, ensuring accurate costing and reconciliations.
Supervise cash management activities, including deposits, disbursements, and daily cash position monitoring.
Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other government regulatory agencies, including timely filing of tax and statutory reports.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial and compliance audits.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Manage relationships with banks, financing partners, and leasing institutions for auto loans, credit lines, and financial transactions.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain data integrity.
Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide business decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and evaluate the accounting team, ensuring continuous development and high performance.
Collaborate with sales, service, and parts departments to ensure accuracy of cross-departmental financial reports.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role (automotive dealership or retail industry experience is an advantage).
Proficient in GAAP/PFRS, BIR, SEC and governmental compliance
Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR compliance, and financial reporting standards.
Experience in inventory management, costing, and reconciliations.
Proficiency in accounting systems (ERP/Dealer Management Systems) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary:
₱35,000.00 Monthly
