Job Description:
- Develops, sets and leads the team’s overall strategy in tapping merchant partners in alignment with the company's strategies and imperatives
- Determines and facilities synergies between merchant and portfolio partners to maximize opportunities and revenue growth
- Develop strategies to create long-term value from:
1. Customers – find new ones and extract more value from current ones
2. Markets – figure out where new customers are
3. Relationships – build and leverage relationships founded on trust and integrity to facilitate opportunities
- Conducts internal and external research by gathering data via on-ground immersion, networking and table-top research
- Manages and guides Account Managers in the operations and acquisition strategies of Merchant Acquisition & Management
- Manages and conducts business reviews. Assesses resource and capabilities vs. deliverables and recommends / initiates necessary adjustments and improvements to achieve business goals
- Influences the improvement sales and aftersales processes to best serve the customer through a fast, simple and nimble operation balanced with the right governance
- Defines training and development programs for Account Manager and implement the same in coordination with HR / People Engagement
- Initiates and develops partner hitlist and plan through market and opportunity sizing
- Leads partner scoping, negotiation and acquisition of prospective partners
- Develops pitch strategy and plan. Leads coordination with other organization verticals required to complete the pitch materials
- Leads day-to-day handling and management of partners
- Negotiates and networks with existing partners to forge mutually beneficial relations and alliances to make the company the preferred services aggregator
- Leads, overseas and shapes the Merchant Acquisition organization by putting in place talents and succession plans for continuous seamless execution
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Candidate should have at least:
10+ years of work experience in sales, preferably with Financial Technology experience
