Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with expertise in both Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works. The role involves managing all cost-related aspects of construction projects from pre-contract to post-contract stages, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost control, and contract administration. The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently and coordinating across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for both civil and MEP works
Analyze project drawings and specifications to determine accurate material and labor requirements
Lead and manage procurement and tendering processes, including vendor/subcontractor evaluation
Monitor and control project budgets, cash flow, and cost reports throughout the project lifecycle
Evaluate, prepare, and negotiate change orders and variations
Administer contracts and ensure compliance with commercial terms and legal standards
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project alignment
Prepare and verify monthly valuations, progress payments, and final accounts
Conduct regular site visits to verify quantities and progress of work
Maintain proper documentation and records of all commercial activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with proven exposure to both civil and MEP projects
Strong knowledge of cost management, estimation, and contract administration
Familiarity with construction contract standards
Proficiency in cost estimating software AutoCAD, and MS Excel
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed Engineer (Civil or Mechanical) – Preferred
Experience in mid to large-scale building or infrastructure projects
Background working in both contractor and consultant environments
