Australian Accountant

Work Type: Full-time | Office-based
Location: 3rd Floor Plaza Victoria Bldg., Sto. Domingo, Angeles City

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Australian Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations, and providing strategic financial advice. You will work closely with Australian clients, supporting them in their day-to-day accounting and tax compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
Perform bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Handle accounts payable and receivable functions.
Prepare and review general ledgers, trial balances, and working papers.
Manage fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation schedules.
Liaise with the ATO, ASIC, and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
Assist in tax planning and advisory services.
Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and taxation laws.
Use accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or HandiSoft.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 1–2 years of Australian accounting experience
Knowledge of Australian Taxation Law, GST, FBT, CGT, Superannuation, and Payroll Tax.
Proficient in Australian accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, APS, HandiSoft).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
