Job Description

Position Summary
The Accounting Officer plays a key role in maintaining the company’s financial integrity through accurate bookkeeping, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting. The role requires solid experience in Philippine taxation, including VAT Relief, e-BIR Forms, and EFPS, as well as expertise in general accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
Handle full-cycle accounting: journal entries, AR/AP, bank reconciliation, month-end closing
Prepare and file BIR tax returns via e-BIR Forms and EFPS
Manage VAT Relief compliance and submission
Maintain and reconcile general ledger, sub-ledgers, and financial statements
Ensure compliance with BIR regulations and Philippine accounting standards
Liaise with auditors and tax consultants for annual audits and regulatory filings
Assist in management reporting: budgets, forecasts, variance analysis
Support payroll accounting and compliance with SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG
Enforce internal financial controls and process improvements
Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to finance team initiatives

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
5–10 years of progressive experience in accounting, tax, and finance
Solid knowledge of e-BIR Forms, EFPS, and VAT Relief procedures
Proven experience with BIR filing and compliance in the Philippines
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of Philippine GAAP and tax code
CPA is a plus but not mandatory
