Job Description
Prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Chinese dishes, ensuring high quality and consistency.
Demonstrate exceptional skill in making various types of dumplings, including dough preparation, filling creation, and expert folding techniques.
Develop and create innovative Chinese menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Conduct food costing for all menu items, ensuring profitability and efficient resource utilization.
Oversee kitchen operations related to Chinese cuisine, including inventory management, food preparation, and sanitation standards.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on Chinese cooking techniques and recipes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Collaborate with the management team to enhance the overall dining experience.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chinese Cuisine Chef or a similar role in a reputable establishment.
Extensive experience and expertise in making a wide range of dumplings from scratch.
Extensive knowledge of various Chinese cooking methods, regional cuisines, and ingredients.
Demonstrated ability to create new menu items and manage food costing effectively.
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Willingness to work overtime, on rest days, and during holidays as needed.
Flexibility and willingness to travel occasionally within Cebu Province for sourcing, events, or training.
A culinary degree or equivalent professional culinary training is a plus.
