Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Help guide operations by organizing priorities, delegating tasks to staff, scheduling key steps in the production process and suggesting improvements.

Duties and responsibilities

1. Manages day to day activities of the section in accordance to the plan set by production planning.
2. Monitors the works being done by all workers assigned in his section and ensure that they are doing the right things based on the project/item specifications.
3. Communicate and coordinates with PPIC group for all concern regarding project related concerns such as but not limited to raw materials, project details etc.
4. Maintain records of all the excess materials issued to production and submit it to PPIC staff for checking and comparison with SAP generated inventory.
5. Ensures that all commitments will be served on time by means of proper scheduling of all activities involved in serving a certain project.
6. Receives finished products from other section and ensures JO’s handed over are complete
7. Submits and receives request raw materials to/from warehouse
8. Makes decisions for minor problems within the section.
9. Records production output to monitor efficiency and rejection rate.
10. Manpower development- every member of the group must able to do every task involved in running the section.
11. Maintains good working condition of all tools and equipment by means of implementing proper tools/equipment management.
12. Seeks for improvements to the current practices in the section ensuring that more efficient production operation will be attained.
13. Ensures that the group follow company’s SOP and Rules
14. Prepares and submits periodic reports
15. Maintain good housekeeping practices in the area.
16. Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Job Specifications / Qualification

Educational Background:
• Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or any related degree.
• Have worked for the company for at least three (3) years (for promotion)

Professional Experience:
• With Relevant experience in production supervision in a fast phase manufacturing set-up
• A number of years of experience as Line Leader (for promotion)

Knowledge, Skills, Ability Required:
• Basic Wood Working or carpentry operation
• Must know how to read and interpret technical drawings
• Must be hardworking, honest and trustworthy
• Must be detail oriented, organized and highly analytical
• Must be a team player
• Must be organized and keen to details
• Flexible in terms of working hour

Others:
• Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state.
