Machinist

Job Summary
Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, CNC and Numerical Control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
2. Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
3. Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
4. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
5. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
6. Repair and fabricate compression and injection mould repair and fabricate spare parts of the machine
7. Check all equipment produced work correctly
8. Do things that may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time
9. Maintain good housekeeping practices in the area.
10. Submit periodic reports
11. Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Job Specifications / Qualification

Educational Background:
• High School Graduate or any vocational courses.

Professional Experience:
• With at least 6 months experience in operating Industrial Machines such as Lathe Machine, CNC etc.

Knowledge, Skills, Attitude Required:
• Knowledge in using basic inspection instruments like caliper, micrometer, etc.
• Has 20/20 vision or corrected vision
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
• Must be hardworking, honest and trustworthy
• Must be a team player
Others:
• Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state.
