Job Description
The Facilities and Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of maintenance operations and facility-related projects. This includes ensuring the optimal functioning of building systems, utilities, equipment, and infrastructure. The role also supports preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitor and maintain the functionality of building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, lighting, fire safety, electrical, and mechanical systems.
2. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and oversee the execution of corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and avoid costly repairs.
3. Assist in planning, budgeting, and managing facility improvement or repair projects, including renovations, upgrades, and installations.
4. Lead and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks.
5. Identify and resolve equipment, utility, or infrastructure issues through technical evaluation and problem-solving.
6. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
7. Monitor and manage inventory of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and tools; ensure proper usage and storage.
8. Maintain records of inspections, maintenance work, incidents, and repairs. Generate regular reports on facility status and improvement plans.
9. Coordinate with external suppliers, contractors, and service providers for repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing.
10. Recommend and implement improvements for energy conservation, sustainability, and cost- efficiency in facility operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Licensed Electrical Engineer is preferred but not required
At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in facilities and maintenance engineering
Strong knowledge of building systems, utilities, and maintenance best practices
Familiarity with local safety, health, and environmental regulations
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and facility management systems (FMS or CMMS)
Salary Range: Php 25,000 - Php 30,000
