Job Description
-Build and maintain strong relationships with key national and local government agencies (e.g., LGUs, BFP, DENR, DOLE, HLURB, DTI).
-Act as the company's official representative in discussions, hearings, and meetings with government offices regarding mall operations and compliance.
Permits and Licensing:
-Ensure timely acquisition, renewal, and compliance of all required government permits for mall operations, including but not limited to:
Business Permits
-Fire Safety Inspection Certificates (FSIC)
-Environmental Compliance Certificates (ECC)
Building and Occupancy Permits
-Sanitary and Health Permits
-Signage Permits
-Monitor expiration dates of permits and proactively manage renewals to avoid operational disruptions.
Regulatory Compliance Monitoring:
-Keep the organization informed on changes in laws, ordinances, and regulations that may affect mall operations.
-Coordinate with internal teams (Legal, Operations, Engineering) to ensure full compliance with relevant government regulations.
Issue Resolution & Advocacy:
-Address and resolve government-related issues that may arise during the operation or development of community malls.
-Advocate for the company’s interests in local regulatory environments to facilitate smoother mall operations.
-Documentation & Reporting:
-Maintain accurate and updated records of all government transactions, permit statuses, and correspondence.
-Prepare regular reports on the status of permits, regulatory developments, and government interactions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
-Support corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and community engagement programs that align with local government priorities.
-Facilitate partnerships or agreements with local government units to promote mall operations as community hubs.
