Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations of our growing business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and ensuring compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong finance background and a practical understanding of SMEs.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
o Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
o Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
o Prepare accurate management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis.
o Track revenue and cost performance of media assets (e.g., billboards, digital screens).
Revenue & Billing Management
o Oversee invoicing, revenue recognition, and payment follow-ups for client contracts.
o Ensure proper accruals for media placements and campaign execution costs.
o Liaise with sales to validate media booking records and campaign statuses.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
o Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
o Maintain general ledger and supervise month-end and year-end closing activities.
o Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
o Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships.
o Optimize working capital and manage short-term financing as needed.
Cash & Asset Management
o Monitor and optimize cash flow, including collections, capital expenditure, and supplier payments.
o Track lease payments, maintenance costs, and depreciation of fixed advertising
assets.
Compliance & Controls
o Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory reporting requirements.
o Manage relationships with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
o Implement internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
o Compliance & Governance
Team & Systems Management
o Supervise and develop junior finance and accounting staff.
o Recommend and support the implementation of accounting systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent is a plus).
o Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in an SME environment.
o Strong knowledge of local tax laws, financial reporting standards, and statutory compliance.
o Familiarity with OOH industry billing cycles, revenue models, and cost structures is a strong advantage.
o Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Excel for financial modeling.
o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
o High attention to detail and ability to work independently and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
o Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with both creative and commercial teams.
o Preferably 40 to 50 Years of Age.
Preferred Characteristics:
o Hands-on, can-do attitude and comfortable working in a dynamic SME environment.
o Strong business acumen and ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
