Job Description

The Chief Accountant Manager is responsible for ensuring that the company financial data is accurate and is presented to internal and external stakeholders efficiently and on a timely manner.

Specific Responsibilities
● Has full accountability of the financial statements of the company
● Assist management with important financial decisions
● Provide financial reports and analysis to guide decision-making and facilitate understanding of the financial state of business
● Review and finalize payroll
● Organize the accounting team (store accounting, accounts payable, general ledger and consolidation, inventory and fixed assets) to efficiently deliver reports on a timely and accurate basis
● Implement company policies and internal controls, especially spending controls, to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud
● Identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business
● Track equity and loans and ensure proper documentation and reporting are in place for these
● Prepare confidential payroll and upload the related bank file
● Work with external auditors (i.e. SGV, RBI) and ensure audits are conducted on a timely basis and in the most efficient way possible
● Work with Tax and Compliance department to ensure audit readiness with the tax authorities; ensuring that regular reports (e.g. Trial Balance, GL ledger, Schedules of A/R and A/P) are prepared on at least a quarterly basis
● Accomplish accounting human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions
● Proactively identify and recommend improvement of department’s operational workflows, processes and controls
● Participate in projects involving system implementation, process changes & upgrades including participation in user acceptance testing, documentation of testing results and participation in implementation phases as necessary

Profile:
Qualifications
1. Graduate of Business Administration, Finance Accounting or its equivalent
2. CPA
3. MBA preferred

Competencies
1. Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication skills
2. Strong attention to detail, documentation and analytical skills
3. Strong business acumen
4. Deep knowledge in the use and intricacies of an ERP system (SAP, JDE, etc.) is an advantage
5. At least 10 years finance experience, preferably in multinational setting or at one of the “Big Four” firms
6. Strong organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines
Salary:
₱150,000.00 Monthly
