Job Description
The Sales and Cash Associate is responsible for accurately handling cash transactions, issuing receipts, and maintaining a balanced cash register. The role ensures prompt and professional service to customers and supports financial and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive payments in the form of cash, checks, or digital transfers for goods and services.
Issue official receipts and change accurately.
Record all transactions in the company’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
Safeguard cash, checks, and other forms of payment during the shift.
Ensure daily balancing of the cash register and prepare end-of-day cash reports.
Assist in the preparation of daily cash deposits and submit to the authorized personnel or bank.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the cashiering area.
Support inventory control and coordinate with other departments when necessary.
Respond to customer inquiries or refer them to the appropriate personnel.
Report any discrepancies, suspicious activities, or system errors to the supervisor.
