MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST

Qualifications:
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
With active PRC license or certifications as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from a recognized professional body
Strong laboratory skills and experience with laboratory equipment of at least one (1) year
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be willing to be sent for external medical missions
Willing to be assigned at Checkpoint Mall, Brgy, Paciano, Calamba City Laguna

Job Description:
A. Specimen Collection and Processing:
· Collect patient samples, ensuring proper handling and labeling.
· Prepare specimens for analysis, following established procedures

B. Laboratory Testing:
· Perform a wide range of laboratory tests, including:
Ø Blood chemistry (e.g., glucose, electrolytes)
Ø Hematology (e.g., complete blood count, blood typing)
Ø Microbiology (e.g., bacterial culture, antibiotic sensitivity)
Ø Immunology (e.g., antibody testing)
Ø Clinical chemistry (e.g., enzyme tests, lipid profile)

C. Quality Control:
· Ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results by implementing quality control measures.
· Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.

D. Data Analysis and Reporting:
· Analyze and interpret laboratory results.
· Prepare accurate and timely laboratory reports.

E. Patient Communication:
· Provide patient education regarding laboratory procedures and results, as needed

F. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols implemented by the Management or the Department of Health (D.O.H.)

G. Perform other tasks by request of the immediate superior relevant to the profession
