Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Audit Planning & Execution:
• Perform audits of casino operations, including gaming activities (table games, slots, sports betting), revenue reporting, cashiering, and cage operations.
• Develop audit programs tailored to the casino environment, focusing on areas of high risk and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct walk-throughs, interviews, and reviews of internal controls, processes, and procedures.
2. Compliance & Regulatory Review:
• Ensure compliance with the regulations set forth by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and other relevant gaming authorities.
• Verify the accuracy of financial records and transactions, ensuring they align with both company policies and industry regulations.
3. Operational Audit:
• Audit casino operations for efficiency, including the security and management of gaming revenue, chips, and sensitive data.
• Review slot machine performance, drop counts, payouts, and jackpot verification processes.
4. Internal Controls Assessment:
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls over casino gaming operations and related financial systems.
• Identify weaknesses in internal controls and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk and improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective measures and perform follow-up audits as necessary.
5. Risk Management:
• Identify, analyze, and assess key risks in the casino operations, and recommend risk mitigation strategies to management.
• Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management practices within the casino.
6. Reporting & Communication:
• Prepare detailed audit reports, outlining audit findings, risks, and recommendations for improvements to senior management.
• Communicate audit results to department heads, management, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Work with department managers to implement corrective actions based on audit recommendations.
7. Special Projects & Investigations:
• Assist in special investigations related to fraud, regulatory violations, or discrepancies in casino operations.
• Participate in or lead special projects that focus on improving casino operations or implementing new processes.
8. Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in casino auditing and gaming compliance.
• Proactively suggest enhancements to audit methodologies and processes to keep pace with evolving industry standards.
Job Requirements:
a. Educational Background
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), or CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) preferred but not required.
b. Job Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in auditing, preferably within the casino, gaming, or hospitality industry.
• Familiarity with the operational and financial aspects of casino operations, including PAGCOR regulations and AML compliance.
