Job Description
We’re an Australian-based SaaS company in the fitness industry, experiencing rapid growth and scaling our digital platforms across Australia. To support this expansion, we are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Dev Manager to join our team in Cebu.
The Role:
As the Dev Lead, you will be a critical leader in bridging the gap between development, operations, and business objectives. You will lead and mentor local engineers, and ensure the reliability and performance of our delivery pipelines and platforms as we scale. This role requires a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with both the Cebu team and Australian-based stakeholders.
Job Description:
→ Team Development: Mentor, guide, and upskill junior engineers within the local Cebu team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
→ Dev Leadership: Own and drive the implementation of best practices across the software development lifecycle, including development, testing, staging, and production environments.
→ CI/CD Management: Champion and optimize our CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and deployment processes.
→ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Australian-based product and engineering teams to align initiatives with business goals and ensure clear communication.
→ Tooling and Innovation: Evaluate, introduce, and manage new DevOps tools and technologies to improve workflow efficiency, platform scalability, and overall system performance.
Qualifications:
→ Exceptional Communication Skills: Comfortable communicating directly with Australian stakeholders, providing clear updates, explaining technical challenges, and proposing effective solutions.
→ Minimum 5 years experience as a software developer, with at least 2 in a leadership or mentoring role.
→ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
→ Solid understanding of software development methodologies, deployment automation strategies, and cloud infrastructure management.
→ Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
→ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
