Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure compliance with Philippine accounting standards, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax filings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
* Maintain accurate general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow records.
* Prepare monthly/annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
* Reconcile bank statements and intercompany accounts.
Tax Compliance:
* File VAT, income tax, and other regulatory returns with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
* Ensure compliance with PEZA tax incentives and Philippine tax laws.
* Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
Reporting & Analysis:
* Generate management reports (e.g., cost analysis, variance reports).
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Monitor and optimize working capital.
Process Improvement:
* Implement internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
Team Collaboration:
* Liaise with HR for payroll processing and statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
* Partner with procurement and production teams to track costs and inventory.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field. CPA license preferred.
* Experience:
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or PEZA-registered company.
Proficient in Philippine Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (PAS/IFRS).
Strong knowledge of BIR regulations and tax filing processes.
Technical Skills:
* Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with accounting software
* Familiarity with automated workflows and financial reporting tools.
Soft Skills:
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong communication skills (English proficiency required; Filipino/Chinese language skills a plus).
* Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
