Role Description:
We are seeking talented and detail-oriented finance executives to join our team. The ideal candidates will manage our books of accounts and ensure compliance with New Zealand accounting standards.
Qualifications:
For Finance Executive: Experience with NZ clients (a plus)
For Junior Finance Executive: Knowledge of Xero and similar Accounting System
Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and teamwork.
Proficiency in financial software and systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of an office-based team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Bookkeeping & Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with NZ accounting standards is an advantage.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Tax Compliance & Reporting: Handle GST, payroll tax, and other statutory filings as per New Zealand regulations is advantage.
• Bank Reconciliations & Cash Flow Management: Monitor bank transactions, perform reconciliations, and manage cash flow forecasting.
• Payroll Processing: Process employee salaries, deductions, and contributions as per NZ employment laws is advantage.
• Financial Analysis & Budgeting: Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Audit & Compliance Support: Coordinate with auditors and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
• Software & System Management: Use accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, CIN7) efficiently.
• Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with the Auckland-based finance team and provide regular financial updates.
• Data Analytics & Commentary Skills: Transform financial data into actionable insights and reports.
• Timeliness of Financial Reports: Monthly reports submitted within the agreed timeframe.
• Accuracy of Bookkeeping: Less than 2% errors in financial records.
• Compliance Adherence: 100% compliance with tax and statutory filings.
• Accounts Receivable Turnover: Maintain collection efficiency as per company targets.
• Accounts Payable Timeliness: Process payments within due dates to maintain supplier relationships.
• Bank Reconciliation Completion: Complete all reconciliations within set deadlines.
• Payroll Processing Accuracy: No payroll discrepancies or late salary payments.
• Budget Variance Analysis: Identify and report deviations with corrective measures.
• Audit Compliance Score: No major audit findings or compliance breaches.
• Effective Coordination: Ensure smooth communication with the Auckland team and adherence to reporting schedules.
