Finance Associate

The incumbent is expected to prepare and review financial information. Manage account records, process transactions, and analyze financial data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviewing financial statements to ensure that they comply with accounting standards.
Identifying potential fraud of malfeasance in financial transactions.
Calculating payroll taxes, income taxes, and social security.
Preparing reports regarding fiscal issues such as debt management, budget forecasts, and tax policy.
Handling administrative tasks such as processing invoices or accepting payments from customers.
Gather customer information as described by company policy.
Contact customers with past dues balances for collection purposes and collect effectively while maintaining the customer relationship.
Review orders on credit hold at multiple points daily and make timely hold/release decisions.
Complete all recurring reporting related to aged open balances in a timely manner.
Make timely and accurate determinations when an account is deemed uncollectible
Position is to ensure invoices are paid within terms, analyze claims/discrepancies, and assist in the resolution.
Contact customers regarding any past due invoices and/or claims/discrepancies.
Identify and escalate any major issues to next level supervisor, immediately.
Maintain customer and data confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
Perform other duties as assigned and required.

Job Requirements:
Ability to develop strong relationships with contacts at customer accounts.
Ability to work with and effectively communicate with all levels of Management.
Proficient and accurate in keying numbers and letters
Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
Must possess ability to work independently with minimal supervision Proven negotiation skills.

Educational Requirements:
BS Degree in Accounting or other Business Discipline preferred.
One to three years of experience in a heavy collection environment.
