QA/QC HEAD

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

The QA/QC Head is responsible for the management of QA/QC processes that will ensure the highest degree of compliance of the finished goods to prescribed quality standards set by Civil and Structural Engineering Codes through Materials Testing and Inspections in accordance with the applicable ASTM and Philippine Test Codes and the conduct of Quality Audits of the execution of Production, Maintenance and Materials Management processes in accordance with International Quality Standards. He or she shall:

● In accordance with Manufacturing Quality Management principles, prepare the QA/QC Plan and Procedures for the testing and inspection of incoming raw materials and finished product samples, analysis of test and inspection results through Quality Control Charts and other means, and execution of Quality Audits of departmental processes in accordance with accepted QA/QC methods.

● In coordination with the Production Manager, establish the Product Inspection and Testing Protocol, which defines the finished product sampling intervals, extraction and submission of samples for testing and inspection by QA/QC Department and any QC Hold or Inspection Points in the production process as deemed necessary.

● Manage the operation of the Materials Testing Laboratory, ensuring that all its processes are covered by approved procedures based on the applicable ASTM and/or Philippine Test Codes, are performed following the approved procedures, its testing equipment are in a state of calibration, and the test and inspection results are properly documented.

● In accordance with Calibration Program for the Materials Testing Laboratory equipment, submit such testing equipment for calibration by the Maintenance Department or to the designated external Calibration Laboratory.

● Organize and execute Semi-annual Qualty Audits of Production, Maintenance and Materials Management processes to verify compliance with established procedures and submit Audit Reports thereon to Plant Management.

● Review the effectiveness of the Plant Quality Management System and Procedures, identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement, and submit a report thereon to Plant Management.

● Review the specifications for Raw Materials, new machinery, procured services, Maintenance equipment, tools, machinery spare parts, lubricants and other machinery consummables; have these items tested/inspected for compliance to specifications and acceptability upon delivery; and approve the generated Inspection, Testing and Acceptability Report.

● Submit other required reports to Plant Management

● Promote the health and safety of personnel at the workplace.

● Perform other tasks as may be directed by the Plant Manager.

Qualification Requirements:

1. Education: College degree in Engineering or Technical Course or Industrial Management

2. Managerial or Supervisory work experience in a related industry

3. Knowledge of the Product properties, manufacturing processes and workings of the production machinery

4. Knowledge of ASTM Codes and Standards for the Product, and Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing setting

- Must be willing to be assigned in Meycayuan, Bulacan
