Job Description
Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or other related fields
Masters Degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or other related fields
Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, or related discipline, or completion of formal U.S. Government courses in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning as related to facilities and plant maintenance
A minimum of ten years experience in maintenance operations of large government or commercial facilities
Strong ability to perform well under pressure and in stressful situations and circumstances
Must display logistical thinking, critical thinking, multitasking skills, problem solving skills and decision making skills
Responsibilities:
Control and endorse work permits for the project work and ensure that QP's safety regulations, project safety plans, client Qatar's safety and environment regulations are understood and followed by the contractor
Ensure safety of all employees and contractors working in operating unit or department by driving continuous improvement towards a true safety culture
Closely apply and follow-up all SAP Process to manage notifications, work orders preparation and closing, parts ordering, job history recording and ensure work order closed after work completion with updated report and attachments
Assist in coordination of cross training of existing API personnel
Fluent with Inventory and Materials Management concepts, such as inventory control and analysis, material lead times, cost analysis, usage analysis
Review maintenance contracts
Develops and implements standard work procedures to continually improve overall team productivity
Responsible for safe work practices
Be able to make decisions based on knowledge and experience
Commissioning duties for the Mechanical discipline
