Job Description

Job Summary:
The Tax Officer is responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all applicable tax laws and regulations in the Philippines. The role involves preparing tax returns, monitoring tax payments, handling tax audits, and ensuring timely filing and remittance of various tax obligations to the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and local government units (LGUs).

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, including VAT, Expanded Withholding Tax (EWT), Final Withholding Tax, Income Tax, and DST.
• Compute and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual tax obligations.
• Ensure compliance with BIR regulations and other tax authorities.
• Liaise with BIR officers during audits, assessments, or tax investigations.
• Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for tax filings, receipts, and correspondence.
• Assist in tax planning strategies to minimize tax exposure and ensure tax efficiency.
• Reconcile tax-related accounts and ensure accurate journal entries.
• Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings affecting the business.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of Annual Income Tax Return (ITR) and Audited Financial Statements (AFS).
• Coordinate with external auditors and consultants when necessary.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not required.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in tax compliance or accounting, preferably in a corporate or auditing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR processes, and local tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle).
• Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
Salary:
₱30,000.00 Monthly
